Nomenclature
The following information is derived from Barry Bolton's Online Catalogue of the Ants of the World.
- laevipodex. Dorylus (Rhogmus) fimbriatus var. laevipodex Santschi, 1919b: 232 (m.) KENYA.
- Type-material: 3 syntype males.
- Type-localities: Kenya (“Afrique orientale anglaise”): 2 males zone infér. des forêts, N° Daika (2200 m.), 1909 (Ch. Alluaud), 1 male Wambogo (Wa-Kikuto), st. 32, 1750 m., i.1912 (Ch. Alluaud & R. Jeannel).
